Encouraging Dialogue
The Konstanz Science Forum was founded in 2006 and serves the University of Konstanz as a platform for knowledge transfer and science communication. Located at the interface between industry, politics and society, the Forum is a partner for dialogue on all kinds of topics relating to research and higher education.
Communicating Science
How important is science for society? What conditions does it need to be successful? What are the latest research findings and how can they be used? The Konstanz Science Forum aims to deliver answers to the latest questions raised by higher education policymakers and scientific organisations, but also deals with specific research fields and positions these in an interdisciplinary context.
Overcoming Borders
In workshops, conferences and presentations, scientists and practitioners from all fields of public life engage in discussion and debate. In so doing, the Forum collaborates closely with our partners in business and industry, politics and from the foundation sector.
Overcoming Borders – this we take literally: The Forum observes international developments and the experience gained by neighbours from the region around Lake Constance. Many events organised by the Forum are also held elsewhere at other important scientific locations in Germany.
Our thematic focuses:
- The future of science and its institutions
- Innovation and the public at large
- European perspectives and strategies
- The Philosophy of Science
