PhD Position in physical chemistry at Universität Marburg

At the chemistry department of Universität Marburg, one PhD position is to be filled in physical chemistry as soon as possible.

The project aims to study experimentally the nonlinear conductivity in mixtures of ionic and molecular liquid at strong electric fields. These mixtures are of high interest as they have applications e.g. as electrolytes for batteries. The project is part of the research unit Nonlinear Response to Probe Vitrification (FOR1394).

The successful candidate will hold a Masters/Diploma degree (or a comparable University degree) in chemistry or physics. Beneficial is a profound knowledge in electrochemistry, in particular of ionic transport in disordered materials and impedance spectroscopy.
