### Moved to Professor Position with Graz University of Technology ###

Beginning of May 2015, I start on a new position as Professor with Graz University of Technology. I am a member of the Institute for Computer Graphics and Knowledge Visualization with the Faculty for Computer Science and Biomedical Engineering. Please find my new webpage and research profile here. I look forward very much to the new responsibilities and research and teaching opportunities. Also, I continue to investigate in the ongoing projects at Konstanz PRESIOUS, CONSENSUS and VISATA from Graz. I am looking forward to all existing and future collaborations and to meet you in Graz in the future.


The Visual Analytics group works on methods for visual search and analysis in large, complex data sets. Our central research questions include how large collections of data can be visually represented for exploration; how queries and descriptors for searching in unstructured data can be visually specified; and in general, how automatic data analysis methods can be visualized for better understanding and leveraging by users. Our considered application areas include explorative analysis in time-oriented data, searching in 3D object data, and analysis of general high-dimensional data.
